Pictures, pictures, and more pictures...

I got a camera for Christmas because I ran over my other one (a story I'd rather not re-tell thank you very much). So now instead of a bunch of words on my blog, you get pictures. You're welcome. Now that things have settled down a bit, I can finally update all that happened over the last few weeks. Here you go...
Christmas morning before opening the gifts...

Favorite presents:

Jake liked the dragster he got to put together himself.

Rebecca got a phone. We haven't had a normal conversation with her since Christmas because she is CONSTANTLY texting. Sarah with her new phone. We're enrolling her in acting classes because she's pretty good at it. Nate liked the fireworks he got. We really enjoyed them at the beach in Mexico.
Christmas afternoon we went to my mom's and had an impromptu nativity play. Nate really was much more excited to be Joseph than he looks. We appreciated all the teenagers (and young adults) for stepping it up and joining us in the play since we were a little low on children. Emily was a shepherd Bridget was a cow, and Mason was the star but you don't see them in the picture. I bet you never knew that a lion was there that first Christmas night. Now you know.
Grandma tried hard to get Sarah to join in on the fun but she was content as she napped during the play.
The day after Christmas, we hopped in the car and drove about six hours to our friends' beach house in Mexico. We all had a fun and relaxing time. Thank you Davis Family!
You can see their beach house in the background to the left right next to the ramp.
The "town".
Brent's favorite hang out. This is the only store in town. Here is the famous dirt road that we drove an hour and a half on to get there. I wish you could see better how long it is. See those mountains in the background? It goes past those. It was so worth the drive there and so not worth the drive home. We all got very sick on it on the way home except for Jake who laughed on every bump like it was a roller coaster rideOnce we got home, reality set in and I remembered all of the primary things I had to do to get the new year rolling. Thank goodness the other members of the presidency were on top of things! Here are a couple pictures from our "Meet the Teacher" breakfast. Nate's class is in the top picture and Jake's is the bottom.

I want to be somewhere warm like Mexico, right now! What a fun thing to do.

Thank you for finally letting me see my nieces/nephews' Christmas. It was nice of you to share. :) Thank you for also shedding light on the animals at Jesus' birth. A lion? Who knew?
