My Little Girl is Growing Up!

Sarah came into my room tonight a little excited but pretty bummed. She was asked out on a date and she had to turn him down because she isn't 16 yet. I'm so proud of the young woman she is becoming. She always makes the right decision without even blinking an eye about it. This was a church thing so she could have tried to justify it but she wanted to do what has been set as the standard by church leaders and didn't even come and ask me, she just knew to say no. She kept saying over and over, "Why couldn't I have been born just a few months earlier?!" I told her we tried! It's so hard for her to see so many other Sophmores (and some of her Freshman friends) dating and she has to wait for the summer. I couldn't ask for a better first born to set the example for the rest of my kids.

You do have a GEM on your hands there! I LOVE THAT GIRL! Not only does she set a good example for her siblings but she was always the one leading the way in young women's too. She really is a sweet girl! Give her a hug for me.
