My budding artist...

Rebecca spent hours looking at our Norman Rockwell book while sketching this picture. I'm so impressed with how good of an artist she is with no lessons other than a few tips from my mom here and there. It looks a little wrinkled up because it got lost under the couch a few weeks ago and Nate just found it tonight. Rebecca was so happy to have found it because she was heartbroken when she lost this picture after spending so much time on it. I'm thinking maybe it's time for some lessons so she can get even better.

If you want to call me stupid, you're allowed...

Yep, that's right. We....got....a.....puppy. His name is Charley, he's a chihuahua, and he's adorable. Jake named him because we got him the day before Jake's birthday. The kids liked the name because Charley tends to nip at fingers and they wanted to be able to say, "Charley bit me, and that really hurt!" like in this video. I have sworn forever that I would never, ever, ever, get a puppy again but here I am dreading going to bed because I know that as soon as I fall asleep, I will be awakened by a cute little whimper needing to go outside. I have actually put off blogging about it because I feel so dumb with our dog track record and all. I even heard through the grapevine that some close relatives of ours are just waiting for us to get tired of the dog so they can have him. I hate to break it to you, and you know who you are, but we actually are doing okay with him. I'm tired, I won't lie, but I'm not overwhelmed at all. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I'm baby hungry and Charley is filling that need. Yes, I've become one of "those" women. For the first time in Krummenacher history, we are actually doing okay with a puppy. Where's Spice you ask? The stray dog we took under our wing got out of the gate left open by neighbor kids and attacked our neighborhood dogs one too many times. He has found a new home at a nice farm.

My baby turned 9 on Friday!

Jake had his birthday on Friday. We had a very low-key celebration since this wasn't his party year and he hasn't yet learned how to scam a birthday party even on your no party year like his brother has. Jake got a new Rip Stick, a Club Penguin Gameboy game and a new outfit. We are so glad we have Jake in our family! He's our quiet boy in public but at home he loves to joke around as much as the rest of our crazy kids. Jake is our boy who just figures everything out. He learned how to tie his own shoes, and has always been very good at figuring things out on the computer. I remember when he was just around 3, he wanted to watch a movie so instead of asking me to put one on, he brought a stool over to the t.v., figured out the buttons to push, and started the movie all on his own. He is very inquisitive about everything and loves to learn new things. My favorite thing about Jake is how much he thinks of others. One time I told him how boys should open doors for girls when they are older. After that, I would see him running in front of me whenever we would go somewhere just so he could open my door for me. I love this boy so much!

Nate's surprise

I was turning off lights in bedrooms on my way out of the house to go to work the other day when I noticed these papers on everyone's pillows. It made me laugh a little that Nate took the time to do this right before he left for school.

What the?

I have to know what everyone is thinking about this! I'm so mad I didn't have a little party to watch the show so I could talk about it with people who have been watching. I liked both girls but I always felt that Melissa wasn't really sincere about her feelings for him. Now I'm just kinda thinking Jason is just a big fat jerk who doesn't deserve either one of them. So mean to break up with Melissa in front of America like that. I always wanted him to pick Molly but now I just think she deserves someone better.
