Finally updating! Here's what we did in December and January:

Nate turned 12 on December 18th! Brent took Nate, Jake and Nate's friends Tanner and Drex to see Avatar at the Imax theater in 3D and then to In N Out Burger for dinner. I met them afterwards at the shop with his "cake". He asked for fake fried ice cream because he doesn't like cake. Yum!
A few weeks later Nate was ordained a Deacon. I was so mad that I forgot my camera. This is the best we could get off of Sarah's phone. I'm so proud of Nate. I don't know what we would ever do without this fun, hilarious, sweet, good natured boy of ours!
Here's all of the kids waiting patiently for us to check to see if Santa came Christmas morning.
He came!
New Year's Eve, we went to a murder mystery party put on by some new friends in the ward. Brent's character was an actor coming to the event to promote his vampire movie. We thought it would be funny if he dressed up like Rob Pattinson/Edward Cullen from the Twilight movies. He was decked out with glitter and all. We all had a great time.

New Year's day we went to the gravel pits with the McGraths to enjoy the snow. It was in the high 50's that day so we were able to enjoy the snow without freezing our tails off.
Nate has been wanting a ramp for his bike and finally gave up on us ever buying him one so he decided to make one the other day. Brent came home to it almost finished by Nate and his friends.

It works! Nate and his friends have been outside on the ramp ever since. Yay for playing outside! And yay for January in Arizona!!!
I was called to be an Activity Day Girls leader. I work with a lady in our ward that lives just down the street from me and we have the 10 and 11 year old girls. Today was our first day and I think I'm really going to like this job! Fun girls and I love working with Sandra!
This is what we made today: I got the idea from the U Create blog. Click HERE for the tutorial.
Last night I ended up typing up a Book of Mormon reading schedule to get them finished with it by July 31st. I looked at the clock when I was done and it was 3:30am! I need to plan better!

Can I come and be in your activity days? I love that book idea. I do have to say that Brent did pull off a good Edward.

I love how the books turned out. You are the best leader AND so much fun. They will love you. Also love how you did a reading schedule for the girls! So cool that Nate started the ramp on his own. You have great kids!
