Valentine Banner

First of all I have to talk about these cute kids. On Wednesday night all of their schools were in a choir concert together. They were so excited that even though they are in three different schools, they were going to be in the same concert. I'm not sure if that will ever happen again for them so it was a fun night.
My mother in law opened up the Red Door Society again this week. I am so excited about it. The Red Door Society is just a fun name for our sewing class Glenna put together to teach her daughters and daughters in law how to sew. Seriously, I couldn't have a better mother in law.
This week we thought we'd go simple and make a valentine's day banner. Our simple plan didn't end up so simple but it sure did end up cute. Here are some of my sisters in law hard at work. We ended up taking most of it home to do ourselves.
And here's my finished product. I wasn't so sure I'd like it when we were picking out the fabrics. We had a really hard time deciding what to do but I really am happy with it.

I love it! You make me want to make a banner like that - do you have a pattern or directions you could pass along? I think it is a wonderful thing your mother-in-law does. I know it not only helps you all be "creative" and develop your talents, but also helps your relationships grow stronger with one another! AWESOME!

Shelly, sorry, no pattern on this one. There are tons of banners online that we just looked at and then created our own from those ideas. I'm sure you could come up with something amazing. You're way more talented in this area than I am!
