This article is from Modern Mechanics 1934. I'm just wondering what the huge draw for this was. Who would want their weight called out on loud speaker "several times" to anybody who happens to be around? No thank you!

Maybe I need one of these attached to my refridgerator that screams my weight everytime I open it. Maybe then I would discouraged, but then again probably not!
I am old enough to remember those. I didn't like it then either.
Yeah, not only is it crazy to have it announced out loud several times to passers, BUT THEY PAID FOR IT TOO! Pure craziness!!!!!
